I"ll tell you an experience of myself happened last week. last thursday our school was tackling something about woking fou study. i wanted to have a try even though i knew the salary was so low and i had little chance,because the students who had the certificate were always thought to have priority to get the job. fortunately i was called at noon and a teacher said to me that she wanted me to work for her and asked if i could change my mind.
At that moment i was so excited that immediately i accepted her idea. but later on,she found me that i"m not a student,so i had little chance and suggest me to get one. then an idea occurred to me that i could call my father and ask him to send me the letter. at the same time i was told that i was admitted to the job and don"t need the certificate. that time i forgot to remind my father,until the next day he called me that he had posted it and it would arrive in just one day.
At that moment i was moved, and even moved into tears, because i knew my father was injured not long before,the process of helping me with the affairs was not so convenient for him. but he tried his best to help me. sometimes we may complain about unsatisfying things around us,and blame them on our parents,sometimes they"ll be angry with us, and sometimes we can"t quite understand what they are thinking about. but on balance, almost every parent is selfless to his or her child.

英語短文閱讀的重要性不僅表現(xiàn)在高中英語考試中它的份量最大，而且還表現(xiàn)在英語短文是英語詞匯知識和語法知識的載體方面。詞匯量的擴大、詞匯知識的豐富和句子表達的多樣性光靠死記硬背是無法也不可能實現(xiàn)的。擴大詞匯量、豐富自己的詞匯知識和地道完美的表達自己只有依靠優(yōu)良的閱讀習慣。教材課文是精讀材料，需要同學們讀熟讀透，直至能開口娓娓道來為止。課外閱讀又叫泛讀。高中英語新課標教材對高中前八個模塊的學習有一個要求：課外閱讀要完成30萬單詞的閱讀量。也就是說：同學們需要每天有500到700個單詞量的閱讀。課外閱讀也是運用語言的一種必不可少的形式。課外閱讀不能停留在完成幾道閱讀理解試題或者完形填空試題。關鍵在盡量弄懂文章中的每一句話含義、長難句的結構。留意你還不很熟悉的詞匯、詞匯知識和語法知識。還要去認真體會不同的英語句子在表達上的精確性。千萬不要在一些你還不認識的，拼寫怪誕，發(fā)音困難的生僻詞匯上浪費時間和精力。
閱讀能力，除詞匯量大小以外，還包含閱讀速度、長難句理解、和把握主題大意的能力。要會快速閱讀，同學們必須學會一些閱讀的技能：如：skimming(跳讀)、scanning(掃讀)和digesting(研讀)。Skimming和scanning就是根據(jù)閱讀任務在文中查找相關信息。Digesting主要是用來理解長難句、把握主題大意和作者意圖以及猜測詞義的技術。不僅要研讀長難句結構，也還需要研讀邏輯關系。
流暢的短文表達能力在很大程度上依賴于你的詞匯量、詞匯知識和句法知識。它們的積累在于平時的聽、說和讀的活動。寫作表達能力中，你的英語句式的結構思維能力或者英語習慣思維能力會對表達能力有重要影響。這就需要同學們平時養(yǎng)成一個良好習慣：那就是總是試圖用英語來表達出你眼睛所看到的，耳朵能聽到的，身體能感受到的和你思想能想到的。除此之外，一篇優(yōu)秀的短文還少不了三個要素：即結構，內容和語言。
一片結構完美的英文短文，尤其是說明文和議論文，往往有一個比較完優(yōu)美的，誘人深入閱讀的開頭語。主題句是可從開頭語中自然而然過度而來。你所程述的觀點，一般都要用事實做論證，或者用具體方式方法來支持。巧妙的結論句往往能使文章錦上添花。
內容需要真實，合乎情理，能讓人信服。文中不要有與主題無關的內容。
語言要盡可能是地道的，去漢語化的英語。要經(jīng)常套用自己在閱讀中、在課堂上學來句子結構去表達自己。要敢于嘗試用比較復雜的句子結構和比較高級的詞匯來使文章進一步美化。
聽所讀寫四大技能并不是各自孤立的，也是相互作用和相互制約的。如果平時，只注重某一項技能的學習和訓練，那是不可能成為一位真正的英語強手的。
任何一門學科都需要踏實的學習作風。外語也不例外。學外語的實主要表現(xiàn)在以下幾個方面：
一、落實詞匯、詞匯知識和特殊句式的積累。落實詞匯和詞匯知識并不是反復背記詞匯表中的單詞。落實詞匯、詞匯知識以及特殊句式的最好辦法是先探究后運用。一個詞匯在經(jīng)過七到八次在不同時間和不同的語境中運用后，它就是你的了。詞匯知識和特殊句式也是一樣。寫作是運用，造句是運用，閱讀，傾聽和與他人用英語交流也是運用。借助詞典進行造句練習，在造句中運用新學的詞匯不失為一種行之有效的簡單易行的方式。
二、落實課外閱讀。每天堅持花半小時閱讀一兩篇短文。一要真正讀懂。二要留意詞匯運用。
三、落實早自習精讀。每次有硬指標，死任務。
四、落實課內課外書面作業(yè)。簡單的完成老師布置的作業(yè)量并不是落實。書面作業(yè)質的落實必須是在真正懂了、記住了的基礎上又快又好的獨立的、閉卷式的完成書面作業(yè)。對發(fā)現(xiàn)的漏洞和缺陷要采取補救措施。
五、落實自主探究的學習能力培養(yǎng)。學習中缺乏自主探究，不善于利用團隊合作和與老師溝通是很多高中生在學習中存在的一種普遍想象。老師不是保姆，老師不可能把英語的詞匯知識和英語的四大能力烹制成一道道佳肴后，一口一口地喂進學生的口中。老師的探究代替不了學生的探究。學習能力的培養(yǎng)主要是探究能力的培養(yǎng)。學會了探究，你才會在知識的大海中暢游。學會了探究，你才會成為終身學習者。英語學科的探究應該表現(xiàn)在對某一特定詞匯在文中、在句中的用法和含義的探究，對長難句結構和含義的探究，對相關知識關聯(lián)的探究，對作者意圖、主題大意的探究，當然也包含對學法的探究。要探究知識，要有工具（詞典以及各種手冊等）的幫助，更要有團隊的合作，還要有老師的幫助。團隊合作可以讓你取他人之長補自己之短，還可以集思廣益，產(chǎn)生思想火花。常與老師溝通是可以使你更容易發(fā)現(xiàn)前進的方向，少走彎路。

Soy food good for women
Women who ate soy regularly as children have a lower risk of breast cancer, American researchers report. And men who eat fish several times a week have a lower risk of colon cancer, a second team of researchers have told the American Association for Cancer Research.
The studies add to a growing body of evidence about the role of diet in cancer. Cancer experts now believe that up to two-thirds of all cancers come from lifestyle factors such as smoking, diet and lack of exercise.
The US National Cancer Institute and researchers at the University of Hawaii found that women who ate the most soy-based foods, such as tofu and miso, when aged 5 to 11, reduced their risk of developing breast cancer by 58 per cent. It was not clear how soy might prevent cancer, though compounds in soy called isoflavones have estrogen-like effects.
A second study showed that men who ate fish at least five times a week had a 40 per cent lower risk of developing colorectal cancer compared with men who ate fish less than once a week.
Many kinds of fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which interfere with the cyclooxygenase-2 or COX-2 enzyme. COX-2 affects inflammation, which may play a role in tumour growth.

Man’s life is a process of growing up, actually I’m standing here is a growth. If a person’s life must constituted by various choices, then I grow up along with these choices. Once I hope I can study in a college in future, however that’s passed, as you know I come here, now I wonder what the future holds for me.
When I come to this school, I told to myself: this my near future, all starts here. Following I will learn to become a man, a integrated man, who has a fine body, can take on important task, has independent thought, an open mind, intensive thought, has the ability to judge right and wrong, has a perfect job.
Once my teacher said :" you are not sewing, you are stylist; never forget which you should lay out to people is your thought, not craft." I will put my personality with my interest and ability into my study, during these process I will combine learning with doing. If I can achieve this "future", I think that I really grow up. And I deeply believe kindred, good-fellowship and love will perfection and happy in the future.
How to say future? Maybe it’s a nice wish. Lets make up our minds, stick to it and surely well enjoy our life.

Red： I know what you think it means, sonny. To me it＇s just a made up word； a politician＇s word. So young fellas like yourself can wear a suit, and tie, and have a job. What do you really want to know? Am I sorry for what I did?
Parole official： Well, are you?
Red： There＇s not a day goes by I don＇t feel regret. Not because I＇m in here, or because you think I should. I look back on the way I was then then, a young, stupid kid who committed that terrible crime. I want to talk to him. I want to try and talk some sense to him, tell him the way things are. But I can＇t. That kid＇s long gone and this old man is all that＇s left. I got to live with that. Rehabilitated? It＇s just a bullshit word. So you go on and stamp your form, sonny, and stop wasting my time. Because to tell you the truth, I don＇t give a shit.

My name is Jie Lidi. Today, my topic is: "Confidence". As we all know, failure is the mother of success. But What I want to say is that success is the child of confidence. Without confidence, things can become negative and uncomfortable. I remember, during an English class, I wanted to make a sentence using the word "listen". I should have said: "I listen to the Voice of America" but I was too nervous and said "I listen to the Noise of America". Everybody in the class laughed. Since then I wanted to train myself to be confident. Now, confidence makes me brave and courageous. Take this speech for example. I wanted to enter this competition, but I would feel very embarrassed if I made mistakes. Just then, I thought about my dream. My dream is to become a scientist when I grow up. If I am not confident, how can I overcome difficulties I face? If I am not confident, how can I succeed in developing myself in the future? I will do it! Today, I am making a speech in public and I feel proud and confident!
I am sure, in the future, with confidence, I will go forward-always forward. Confidence will make my dreams come true!
