　　1.We are drowning in news. Reuters alone puts out three-and-a-half million news stories a year. That's just one source.

　　My question is: How many of those stories are actually going to matter in the long run? That's the idea behind The Long News. It's a project by The Long Now Foundation, which was founded by TED stars including Kevin Kelly and Stewart Brand. And what we're looking for is news stories that might still matter 50 or 100 or 10,000 years from now. And when you look at the news through that filter, a lot falls by the wayside.

The second school I was at had big trees too, had a fantastic tulip tree, I think it was the biggest in the country, and it also had a lot of wonderful bushes and vegetation around it, around the playing fields.

　　應(yīng)當怎樣做好演講的開頭呢?

　　一、開頭要為聽眾解釋關(guān)鍵術(shù)語。如果演講的成功與否取決于聽眾能否理解演講中的某些術(shù)語或概念，那么在演講開頭時對關(guān)鍵術(shù)語加以解釋就顯得格外重要了。

　　二、開頭要能激發(fā)出聽眾的興趣。從本質(zhì)上說，聽眾是很自私的，他們只是在感到能從演講中有所收獲時才專心去聽演講。演講的開頭應(yīng)當回答聽眾心中的“我為什么要聽?”這一問題。

　　三、開頭要為聽眾說明演講目的。在大多數(shù)情況下，演講的開頭應(yīng)揭示出演講的目的。如果做不到這一點，那么聽眾要么會對演講失去興趣，要么會誤解演講的目的，或者甚至于會懷疑演講者的動機。

　　四、開頭要能吸引聽眾的注意。演講開頭成敗的關(guān)鍵在于能否吸引并集中聽眾的注意力。演講時獲取聽眾注意力的方式隨題材、聽眾和場景的不同而改變，一般可以運用事例、軼聞、經(jīng)歷、反詰、引言、幽默等手段達此目的。

　　1、開頭的第一句話聲音必定要響亮，吸引大家的注意力。有的選手聲音很小或聲音很平，在開場時就已經(jīng)占了劣勢。

　　4、語言要流暢，(必須對演講稿重復(fù)熟悉)，聲音要響亮，語氣激昂，抑揚頓挫，飽含情感地講述，保持放松的心態(tài)，以微笑面對觀眾，用適當?shù)氖謩�。用真摯和熱情的心去演講，這些都是取得成功的不二法則。

　　5、多講些活潑感人的.事例，有的選手去講營銷的理論知識，讓人聽得很枯燥，而一些選手是將營銷的方法融入到自己的實際工作中去，通過具體事例講自己如何在工作利用營銷方法取得了成功，這樣才會吸引觀眾。

　　6、煽情有時真的很重要，在挑釁主持人的節(jié)目里常常有些選手用煽情打動觀眾來拉票，人是情感動物，在被激動的同時自然也會偏向于此。有位選手講自己的孩子生病了，但自己忙于工作無暇照顧，說的很動情流淚，觀眾被打動了，評委也被打動了，結(jié)果她的分數(shù)就很高。

　　7、有的選手在上場時先是客套一番，感謝領(lǐng)導(dǎo)給這個機會，感謝領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的栽培。不知領(lǐng)導(dǎo)是否真的愛聽這些話，但我個人認為，這是演講比賽，不是說致酒辭，作為普通觀眾來說聽這些話感到很羅嗦，很虛偽，容易讓觀眾失去興趣，反倒是開門見山，介紹完自己和標題后便進入主題的演講更吸引人。
