　　Little Robert asked his mother for two cents. "What did you do with the money I gave you yesterday?"

　　"I gave it to a poor old woman," he answered.

　　"You're a good boy," said the mother proudly. "Here are two cents more. But why are you so interested in the old woman?"

　　"She is the one who sells the candy."

　　這不是我的狗!

　　Joe was a steward for Fly High airlines. He watched as an older lady boarded the plane holding a dog in a cage. "Excuse me," said Joe "dogs are not allowed on board, you have to check it in with the baggage."

　　Joe是fly high airlines的一名乘務(wù)員，當(dāng)一名年長(zhǎng)的'女士登機(jī)時(shí)，他看到她提的籠子里有一只狗。“不好意思，”Joe說(shuō)“狗狗是不可以登機(jī)的，您必須把它和行李一起托運(yùn)。”

　　The lady wasn't happy, but Joe was an experienced steward and eventually succeeded in convincing the lady.

　　Upon arrival, Joe took a peek in the cage, and to his great surprise, saw that the dog was dead!

　　Frantic that they may get sued, Joe quickly sent one of his underlings out to town to buy a dog that looked exactly the same. Just in the nick of time the underling arrived with the dog.

　　想到他們可能會(huì)被起訴，Joe感到十分忙亂，馬上讓他的下屬去鎮(zhèn)里買一條一模一樣的狗回來(lái)。最后下屬帶著狗狗及時(shí)趕了回來(lái)。

　　They quickly switched dogs and breathed a sigh of relief. "This isn't my dog!" said the lady as soon as she saw it. "I'm sure it is" insisted Joe "I was very careful about where I put it."

　　他們迅速把狗換了過(guò)來(lái)，舒了一口氣。“這不是我的狗!” 這位女士一看到狗的時(shí)候就說(shuō)。“我很確定是的。”Joe堅(jiān)持說(shuō)道，“我對(duì)于放他的地方十分仔細(xì)。”

　　"It's not my dog" argued the lady, "you see, I was bringing my dog to my home town to have him buried, and this dog is alive!"
