我用過的理由有,我對你們公司的business有興趣,這個工作很符合我的背景,我有ready-to-use skill set,這個職位需要跟很多不同的人合作而我喜歡跟人打交道,這個職位is in perfect alignment with my long term career goal(要準(zhǔn)備好被問你的長期職業(yè)規(guī)劃是什么)如果是比較大的公司,還可以說there is infinite room for self development,最后加一句,我相信你們公司會continue to excel從而可以提供現(xiàn)在這鬼年頭尤為寶貴的stability。
2. 有幾個朋友寫信來問從hr把簡歷給hiring manager到hiring manager打電話來面試有多久,這個問題其實(shí)我們是可以掌握一下主動的,不妨問一聲,according to your experience, how soon should I expect to hear from him/her? 或者would you mind me giving you a call if I don’t hear anything within a week or two? 我一般在hr說他會給hiring manager我的簡歷看是否要安排電面時說一句,when you talk to the hiring manager, please keep in mind that I live at local so it is very easy for me to come visit your site. Please let the manager know that I am totally open for a face to face conversation if he prefers to do so.
3. know your story.
4. Construct a conversation。 I am sorry to interrupt but can I chip in a question here? 當(dāng)他講到進(jìn)軍新領(lǐng)域的時候,我說了may I chip in a question here之后,說It is very interesting to know that the company is going to enter these areas. However I know there are some big competitors out there and they control a big market share. Which market segment do you target? What do you think is your competitive advantage? 對面的人明顯露出贊許的表情,說that’s an excellent question!
后來那個VP帶著behavior questions sheet進(jìn)來,問我how did the interview go的時候,我沒有簡單的說些great之類的話,而是多說了兩句: I have enjoyed speaking with *** and *** very much. They are very nice, and they told me quite a few things about you。然后那個VP很感興趣的問我他手下都說了什么,我先跟他開了個玩笑做尷尬狀說, eh, I am not sure if I should tell you everything they said about you。 My first impression is that, first you are easy going and very nice to work for. Second, you know how to make people work hard without laying an eye on them all the time. Most importantly, you care about your employees and you are willing to fight for them when they are right. These are the things that in my opinion can decide if one can make a successful manager.
I know exactly what you mean because I have had the same feelings before. 然后說了我在上一個公司的 組里也是資歷最淺的一個,有時候想要改進(jìn)一些東西的時候,往往對自己信心不足,it takes a lot of courage to challenge senior people. And it is indeed hard to make changes happen because most people don’t like to change the way they do things all the time。
另外一次一個manager走進(jìn)來發(fā)現(xiàn)會議室里的表走得不準(zhǔn),他自己又沒帶表,不高興的抱怨了幾句,我笑著說ah, now I believe it is hard to have everything work correctly in a company, even in a great one such as ***.
Could you tell me more about the company and the *** group?
Is this a newly created position or recently vacated position? How will the new hire fit in the *** group?
Who will this new hire be working with on a regular basis? Or: Who will be the primary business partners of this new hire?
Could you help me better understand the recruiting process? How many rounds of interviews are there? Who will be interviewing candidates, other than you and the hiring manager?
According to your experience, how soon should I expect to hear from him/her?
Would you mind me giving you a call if I don’t hear anything within a week or two?
另外,跟一個hr聊得很開心,所以在onsite的時候問了how many people are competing with me on this round?
What do you value the most in the new hire? What is the most important for one to succeed in this position?
How much would you encourage new ideas? You know, sometimes new ideas mean extra time spent and no return guaranteed.
I have *** skills. From the job description, I think it might be helpful but not quite sure. What is your opinion?
Ask more about the job responsibility: Could you describe a typical day of yours? 或者換個方式問 how much time do you spend on working on your computer, and how much time on talking to other people 諸如此類的。
What kind of people do you like to work with?
I know you’ve been working here for a number of years. Would you mind sharing your personal experience with the company? What do you like about the company and the xxx team? 最好不要問對方不喜歡什么,最多用委婉一點(diǎn)的說法, what do you feel is the most challenging thing.
Has it been hard to balance work and family life since you joined the company?
問對方大頭目的問題;
Ask about the company’s “big” topics.
Ask about his/her personal experience with the company.
