簡(jiǎn)單勵(lì)志英語(yǔ)演講稿精品1
Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the→← deep springs of life .
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
Whether 60 of 26 , there is in every human being ?s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what?s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there?s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.
That?s all !

Last night, I watched a tennis game, it was the US open, because there wasa Chinese female player came to the semi-final, so I stayed up to watched thegame. Unluckily, she was injured twice, though she still wanted to finish thegame, her body situation did not allow her to do so. Her insistence moved somany audience, they gave her the biggest applause.
The power of insistence is great, it will help you set free your potentialand keep move on. Just for the players, they will face all kinds of incidencesnow and then, but the will to insist will make them finish the game. Sometimes, people win the game not because of their excellent skills, but their strongwill. Those who can stick on to the final line will win people’s applause.
What’s more, when people insist to finish the game, it is the respect thatthey show to their opponents. Their spirit deserves people’s stence is a merit, we should keep it, no matter what we do, we must rememberto insist.

no young man believes he shall ever die. it was a saying of my brother's,and a fine one. there is a feeling of eternity in youth, which makes us amendfor everything. to be young is to be as one of the immortal gods. one half oftime indeed is flown-the other half remains in store for us with all itscountletreasures; for there is no line drawn, and we see no limit to our hopesand wishes. we make the coming age our own-
the vast, the unbounded prospect lies before us.
death. old age. are words without a meaning. that paby us like the idea airwhich we regard not. others may have undergone, or may still be liable tothem-we "bear a charmed life“, which laughs to scorn all such sickly fancies. asin setting out on delightful journey, we strain our eager gaze forward-
bidding the lovely scenes at distance hail!
and see no end to the landscape, new objects presenting themselves as weadvance; so, in the commencement of life, we set no bounds to our to the unrestricted opportunities of gratifying them. we have as yet foundno obstacle, no disposition to flag; and it seems that we can go on so look round in a new world, full of life, and motion, and ceaseleprogress; andfeel in ourselves all the vigor and spirit to keep pace with it, and do notforesee from any present symptoms how we shall be left behind in the naturalcourse of things, decline into old age, and drop into the grave. it is thesimplicity, and as it were abstractedneof our feelings in youth, that (so tospeak) identifies us with nature, and (our experience being slight and ourpassions strong) deludes us into a belief of being immortal like it. ourshort-lives connection with existence we fondly flatter ourselves, is anindissoluble and lasting union-a honeymoon that knows neither coldness, jar, norseparation. as infants smile and sleep, we are rocked in the cradle of ourwayward fancies, and lulled into security by the roar of the universe aroundus0we quaff the cup of life with eager haste without draining it, instead ofwhich it only overflows the more-objects prearound us, filling the mind withtheir magnitude and with the strong of desires that wait upon them, so that wehave no room for the thoughts of death.
