今年所有的SAT考試都已經(jīng)落下帷幕了，明年是最后一個有1月份考試的年份。那么，為什么強(qiáng)烈建議考2017年1月SAT呢?下面大家就隨小編一起去了解一下吧!
一、有相當(dāng)部分的學(xué)校接受1月份的SAT成績
首先先明確一點(diǎn)，大部分常規(guī)申請的學(xué)校都接受12月的成績，所以考了12月SAT成績的同學(xué)請放心，這次成績一定有用。那么哪些學(xué)校接受1月份SAT成績呢?這里給大家匯總了TOP20大學(xué)是否接受1月份SAT成績情況：
1、普林斯頓大學(xué)：接受 Regular decision applicants should take the SAT Reasoning Test bythe January test date or take the ACT with Writing by the December date.
2、哈佛大學(xué)：接受 The December ACT and the January SAT administrations are the final testing dates for Regular Action candidates.
3、耶魯大學(xué)：接受 Apply through Regular Decision, you must take the tests no laterthan January.
4、哥倫比亞大學(xué)：接受 Please have the January score sent to us. We will use the higher ofthe scores when we review your application.
4、斯坦福大學(xué)：參考 The scores of tests taken in January will be added to your file whenreceived, but we cannot guarantee that they will arrive on time, even ifrushed, for the evaluation.
4、芝加哥大學(xué)：接受
7、麻省理工學(xué)院：接受，需要直接送分 If you take the January test, you must list MIT as a school torecieve your scores or we will not receive your scores in time for our review.

9、賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)：可以接受，但是需要將賓大加入直接送分學(xué)校 It is possible to take the October ACT and the November SAT forEarly Decision and the December ACT and January SAT for Regular Decision, butwhen you register, please make sure you have the scores sent directly to theUniversity of Pennsylvania. Do not wait until after you receive your scores tosend us the results.
10、加州理工學(xué)院：不接受。不接受申請截止之后考的SAT成績。Please note that all testing must becompleted prior to the application deadline. Caltech will not consider scoresfor exams taken after the deadline.
10、約翰霍普金斯大學(xué)：不保證，應(yīng)該送12月的。Regular Decision (RD) candidates should complete the required testsno later than December of their senior year. Although we cannot guarantee thatNovember (ED) or January (RD) scores will arrive before the AdmissionsCommittee evaluation, past experience suggests that scores taken on these datesusually arrive in time.
12、達(dá)特茅斯學(xué)院：接受
12、西北大學(xué)：接受
14、布朗大學(xué)：接受。RD 申請會參考1月SAT成績的。Brown will consider up to the November SAT test for Early Decisionand the January SAT test for Regular Decision.
15、康奈爾大學(xué)：接受。校方表示，如果分?jǐn)?shù)到達(dá)之前還沒有審核申請材料，那分?jǐn)?shù)就還有用，如果已經(jīng)審閱了，就不會在意1月SAT成績了。
15、范德堡大學(xué)：接受。允許國際學(xué)生提交1月SAT成績。
17、萊斯大學(xué)：不接受。RD申請：接受的最晚的SAT考試日期是12月5日，不接受1月SAT成績。
以上可以看出來，大部分學(xué)校還是會接受1月SAT成績的，但是斯坦福大學(xué)、加州理工學(xué)院、萊斯大學(xué)明確表示過不接受，除了TOP20院校外，中國留學(xué)生會比較青睞的密歇根大學(xué)安娜堡分校也不接受1月SAT成績。此外，當(dāng)你需要申請約翰霍普金斯大學(xué)、賓夕法尼亞大學(xué)、康奈爾大學(xué)時，最好先與校方聯(lián)系，確認(rèn)他們是否接受1月SAT成績。
另外請注意：政策在變化，大家及時關(guān)注各學(xué)校官網(wǎng)。
二、從Waitlist轉(zhuǎn)正時，SAT成績也還有非常大的作用。
這個原因是專門針對今年申請的同學(xué)來說的，很多同學(xué)覺得1月份考試太晚，對大學(xué)申請沒啥幫助，就不考了。其實(shí)并不是這樣，大家都忽略了非常重要的一個點(diǎn)---從Waitlist轉(zhuǎn)正。
在每年申請出結(jié)果之后，大多數(shù)同學(xué)都會收到幾個Waitlist，而在Waitlist階段，學(xué)校是接受新材料遞交的，其中就包括了新的SAT成績，那么，這個SAT成績應(yīng)該是幾月份的考試?當(dāng)然就是1月份的考試!而這個新的標(biāo)化成績，沒準(zhǔn)就是讓你成功“轉(zhuǎn)正” 的秘密武器!

三、1月份考SAT更容易拿到高分
為什么1月份的就更容易拿到高分呢?這不是說1月份的題目就更容易。說1月份考試容易我們必須要提到一個評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的問題---CB主要是根據(jù)每場考試的百分比來排分，就是這一屆考生的所有分?jǐn)?shù)的整體水平進(jìn)行排位、進(jìn)而再調(diào)整對應(yīng)分?jǐn)?shù)，給出一個curve，這也就是為什么每一場考試，童靴們會感覺到不同部分的容錯率(也就是每道題分值)略有差異。
那么我們來合理設(shè)想一下1月份考生的整體實(shí)力，大部分參加1月份考試的要么就是第二年才申請的備考階段的小白去試試水，要么就是經(jīng)歷了今年幾次考試都沒有刷到高分的實(shí)力欠佳的考生，這些學(xué)生的整體實(shí)力于10、11月份考生都相對較弱，所以是十分適合逆襲的。
