像其他進行時態(tài)一樣，這樣的將來進行時通常和某一時刻連用，表示一個動作在該時刻之前開始并且很可能在該時刻之后仍然繼續(xù)。這種用法最好通過實例來了解。設(shè)想一個班的學生上午9點半在做什么，然后可以這樣表達：

　　Now they are sitting in their classroom.They are listening to a tape. This time tomorrow they will be sitting in the cinema.They will be watching a film.On Saturday there is no class.So on Saturday they will not be sitting in the classroom.They will be doing other things.Bill will be playing tennis. Ann will be shopping.George will still be having breakfast.

　　現(xiàn)在他們正坐在教室里。他們在聽錄音。明天這個時候他們會坐在電影院里看電影。星期六沒有課。因此，星期六這時候他們不在教室里。他們會做別的事情。比爾會在打網(wǎng)球，安會去買東西，喬治會還在吃早飯。外語學習網(wǎng)

　　進行時態(tài)也可以和一般現(xiàn)在時連用：

　　Peter has been invited to dinner with Ann and Tom. He was asked to come at eight but tells another friend that he intends to arrive at seven.The friend tries to dissuade him，‘When you arrive they’ll still be cookingthe meal!’

　　彼得應(yīng)邀與安和湯姆一起吃飯。他們要彼得8點到，但彼得卻告訴另一位朋友說他自己想在7點到。那位朋友勸阻他說：“你到的時候，他們還在做飯呢!”
