  英文求職信寫作原則

  1.語(yǔ)言表達(dá)要簡(jiǎn)潔明了,避免使用太多的專業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ) 過(guò)分復(fù)雜的句子。

  一方面用人單位不會(huì)在一份 簡(jiǎn)歷上花費(fèi)太多的時(shí)間;另外一個(gè)方面,簡(jiǎn)潔的語(yǔ)言表述也能體現(xiàn)出你珍惜他人的時(shí)間。

  2.在求職信的第一個(gè)段落當(dāng)中應(yīng)該明確地告訴對(duì)方你是在何家媒體看到應(yīng)聘廣告以及所要應(yīng)聘職位的名稱。

  例如Your advertisement for (職位名稱)a Network Maintenance Engineer in (媒體名稱)the April 10 Student Daily interested me。這樣有助于對(duì)方了解招聘信息的有效傳播途徑。

  3.語(yǔ)言客觀實(shí)際。

  英文求職信中應(yīng)避免自己的主觀判斷性的語(yǔ)言和評(píng)論性的話語(yǔ),不要過(guò)分渲染自我尤其不要說(shuō)出與事實(shí)不符的能力或特性來(lái)。為了避免過(guò)多的主觀性描述,你可以在自己的 簡(jiǎn)歷 當(dāng)中用客觀的數(shù)字和引述別人的話語(yǔ)來(lái)描述自己的實(shí)際情況。例如:I have passed CET-6 with a high mark of 96.

  4.重視開頭、結(jié)尾。

  在求職信的結(jié)尾,我們通常要提及關(guān)于希望得到 面試 的事情。因此,結(jié)尾一樣要引起重視。在表達(dá)自己的這樣的意愿的時(shí)候,切忌軟弱、羞怯的表達(dá)方式,例如:If you think I can fill the position after you have read my letter, I shall be glad to talk with you。

  5.表現(xiàn)個(gè)人特色。

  求職信應(yīng)該包括6個(gè)關(guān)鍵內(nèi)容

  1.First of all, say that you would like to apply.

  首先要說(shuō)你希望申請(qǐng)這份工作

  比如: I would like to apply for the position of marketing manager…

  2.Then you say where you found out about the information about the job.

  跟著就說(shuō)你從哪里獲悉這份工作的招聘信息。

  比如,…which was advertised in Creative Jobs.

  3.Say why you would like the job

  表明你為什么喜歡這份工作。

  比如, I have always wanted to work in a leading organisation like the BBC.

  4.Say why you are qualified to do the job.

  介紹一下你為什么具備了做這份工作的資格。

  比如,I worked as the sub-editor of University News for two years.

  5.Say you can provide more information if necessary.

  告訴對(duì)方如果需要的話你可以提供進(jìn)一步信息資料。

  比如,I would be delighted to provide more information should you require it.

  6.Say when you would be available for interview.

  告訴對(duì)方你什么時(shí)間有空參加面試。

  (1)稱呼用語(yǔ)

  信函中使用的禮節(jié)性稱呼很多。一般說(shuō)來(lái),給男士寫信用“Mr.”(先生),給女士寫信用“Miss”(小姐)、“ Mrs.”(夫人)或“ Ms.”(女士)。近年來(lái),越來(lái)越多的人喜歡用“Ms.”來(lái)籠統(tǒng)地稱呼女性,這樣可以避免判斷不清對(duì)方婚否等敏感話題所帶來(lái)的尷尬,是一種大趨勢(shì)。當(dāng)然,也可以根據(jù)收信人的身份,用學(xué)位、頭銜等常用詞后綴收信人的姓,例如:Dr.(Doctor,博士)Zhang,Prof.(Professor,教授)Zhou, Pres.(President,經(jīng)理、會(huì)長(zhǎng)、校長(zhǎng))Liu,等等。如果對(duì)收信人的性別、姓名、職務(wù)或其他資料掌握不多的話,用一句“Dear sir or madam”最合適。如果收信人不是具體的某個(gè)人而是機(jī)關(guān)或者單位,則只寫負(fù)責(zé)人的職位和公司或者機(jī)構(gòu)的名稱,如:The Manager, CP Group或The President,Jinghui Company等。

  開頭部分:

  (3)附件的表達(dá)

  如果求職信帶有附件,可以用Enclosure或者縮寫形式Enc.進(jìn)行表達(dá)。要注意在此項(xiàng)下附件的份數(shù)及種類。如果是兩個(gè)以上的附件,注意要用復(fù)數(shù)形式Encls.或者Enclosures。如:3Enclosures: An Autobiography; A Photocopy of Degree Certificate; A Photograph。

  (4)結(jié)束用語(yǔ)

  結(jié)束用語(yǔ)是寫在結(jié)尾的告別話語(yǔ),也稱結(jié)尾問候語(yǔ)。位于正文下面隔兩三行的位置,一般從中間偏右的地方開始寫起。常用的結(jié)束用語(yǔ)主要有:Sincerely, Yours sincerely, Yours truthful, Yours faithfully, Yours truly, Yours等,首字母大寫而且每個(gè)詞后都要加逗號(hào)。
