應(yīng)征函的第一段說(shuō)明寫(xiě)信的緣起目的，有些專(zhuān)家認(rèn)為不宜用分詞子句，如下列各句作為第一句。因?yàn)檫@類(lèi)句子被人用得大多，顯得陳腐，失去突出的特性。

　　Replying to your advertisement…Answering your advertisement…Believing that there is an opportunity…Thinking that there is avacancy in your company…Having read your ad…

　　再比較下列三句。(a)句較差，經(jīng)過(guò)修改后(b)句顯得較恰當(dāng)。

　　1、(a)Replying to your recent advertisement in the Boston Evening Globe,I wish to apply for the position of sales manager…

　　(b)In applying for the position of sales manager Ioffer my qualifications,which Ibelieve will meet your exacting requirements.

　　求職的人不得不提到希望待遇時(shí)，可用類(lèi)似的句子：
