abandon vt. 拋棄,離棄,舍棄,放棄。如:
From Jim’s face, I could see he was terrified of being abandoned by us.
aboard prep. adv.在(船、飛機(jī)、火車、汽車等)上;上(船、飛機(jī)、火車、汽車等)。如:The plane crashed killing all 156 passengers aboard.

absence n. 不在,缺席。如:Every time I returned after an absence, I felt stupid because I was behind the others. →absent adj. 缺席的(be absent from)
absolute adj. 絕對的,完全的→absolutely adv.(absolutely not 絕對不行)
absorb.v.吸收,吸取,全神貫注。如:

admit vt.承認(rèn);準(zhǔn)許(入場、入學(xué)、入會);接納。如:She admits to being strict with her children./Each ticket admits one adult and one child.
