【Human being’s nightmare-biology weapons人類的夢魘-生物武器】
With the rapid development of modern biology, it is possible to imagine that once advanced biological technology has been applied to weapons, the whole world would suffer disastrous consequences. Many people would die soon after picking up ailments caused by genetically modified virus and bacteria, for instance。
隨著現(xiàn)代生物學(xué)的快速發(fā)展,我們不難想象一旦先進(jìn)的生物技術(shù)被應(yīng)用于武器行當(dāng),整個世界將會遭受毀滅性的打擊。比如,人們一旦被那些基因重組過的病毒或者細(xì)菌導(dǎo)致的疾病侵染,他們會很快死去。
Although a related treaty has been signed in 1972, prohibiting countries from making biology weapons, it’s not hard to imagine certain countries which would like to win a war easily are still conducting biology weapon consecutively, regardless of pacifists’ proposal and advocacy.
盡管相關(guān)的禁止生物武器條約已于1972年簽署,我們不難設(shè)想一些渴望輕易贏取戰(zhàn)爭的國家正在不停地進(jìn)行生物武器試驗(yàn),毫不顧及和平主義者的建議和主張。
As a student, I am very concerned about this issue since the international affairs are dense now. Therefore, whenever a war takes place, there is possibility that some immoral countries would put there weapons into practice.
作為一個學(xué)生,我非常關(guān)心這個話題因?yàn)槟壳暗膰H爭端十分稠密。因此,只要有戰(zhàn)爭爆發(fā),就會有某些不道德國家有可能把這些武器應(yīng)用于實(shí)踐。
Faced with this lethal hazard, I firmly reckon that our country should pay more attention to this issue. What I mean is not to advocate that we should conduct experiments to innovate biology weapons, but attach great significance to discovering methods to protect our citizens and army if the pernicious weapon is used in future war. It’s essential for us to test and prepare more vaccines against prevailing and usual pathogenic bacteria and virus.
面對這個知名的威脅,我堅(jiān)定地認(rèn)為我們的國家應(yīng)當(dāng)對這一話題投以更多關(guān)注。我的意思不是讓我們進(jìn)行試驗(yàn)研制生物武器,而是重視找到一旦這樣的惡性武器應(yīng)用與戰(zhàn)爭時保護(hù)我國公民和軍隊(duì)的方法。測試和準(zhǔn)備針對現(xiàn)有常見致病病毒和細(xì)菌的疫苗十分必要。
At the same time, the improving group of scientists who specialize in related field also serves as a linchpin. Only with much better preparation, both substantial and intellectual, can we win a war which involves biology weapons and compel the rebels to abide by the treaty announced in 1972.
與此同時,相關(guān)學(xué)科科學(xué)家團(tuán)隊(duì)的加強(qiáng)也是一個關(guān)鍵。只有有了更好的物質(zhì)和智力準(zhǔn)備,我們才能在生物戰(zhàn)中取勝并且迫使那些不法之徒遵守1972年的禁止生物武器條約.
【Educational Justice 教育公平】
At this precise moment in time and with the impending entrance examination, the problem of educational injustice has loomed more conspicuous and has been brought to the center of public attention. It is almost absolutely correct that schools’ misbehavior gave rise to seditions and agony.
就在這個招生考試即將來臨的時刻,教育公平的問題更加凸顯,現(xiàn)在,這一問題已經(jīng)走進(jìn)了大眾關(guān)注的中心。幾乎可以絕對的說,一些學(xué)校的不正當(dāng)行為已經(jīng)激發(fā)起了騷動和不滿。
Dated back to last month, one official representative at the meeting of People’s Representatives put forward the issue of educational partiality, maintaining that the possibility of certain metropolises’ students admitted to Tsinghua University and Peking University is approximately 40 times more than that in Henan province. Recently, when it comes to the enrollment of middle school students, another heated news has been propagated that certain schools enjoying better location, faculty and favorable policies are illegally stretching their legs towards elite students over the whole province, exerting definitely pernicious influences on the regulation of tests and examinations.
在上個月,一位參與全國人民代表大會的代表就提出來這個問題,他聲稱在有一些大城市,孩子們考上清華北大的概率是河南省的接近四十倍。當(dāng)下,反觀中招情況,另外一條轟動的消息被爆出——一些享有更好的地區(qū)師資和政策優(yōu)勢的學(xué)校正在非法地在全省范圍內(nèi)招生,這樣的行為對我們國家的招生考試秩序管理產(chǎn)生了極為不好的影響。
As a student, I’m sincerely concerned with this. From my own perspective, the leading action we should be encouraged to take is to distribute resources more sensibly. It’s imperative to give more rights for admission to prestigious universities to students in need, which may propitiously precipitate the process of social justice. Also, governmental regulation and punishments are in desperate demand. Banning on such misconducts as searching for students over the boundary in certain schools serves as a solution.
作為一個學(xué)生,我非常關(guān)心這個問題。以我來看,我們首先需要做的一件事情就是合理地分配教育資源。給那些更為迫切需要升學(xué)權(quán)利的學(xué)生們更多的機(jī)會進(jìn)入名牌大學(xué)已經(jīng)顯得刻不容緩,這也是進(jìn)一步促進(jìn)社會公平的途徑。另外,政府的監(jiān)管和懲罰措施也亟待改善。嚴(yán)禁學(xué)校違規(guī)異地招生也是一種解決方案。
What is more, personally, it’s advisable for the school administrators to secure a clear mind that faculty and regulations rather than students are more significant linchpins in maintaining competence and attractiveness.
除此以外,個人認(rèn)為學(xué)校管理者也應(yīng)當(dāng)清晰地意識到師資力量和合理管理而非生源才是保持學(xué)校競爭力和吸引力的關(guān)鍵所在。
There is still a long way to go for sake of overcoming the perplexity of educational injustice. Notwithstanding, we are bound to accomplish it with fortitude.
在攻克教育不公平的方面,我們還有很長的路要走。然而,我們擁有毅力,定會取得成就。
