1. -an：
electrician n. 電工；電氣技師
E.g. The electrician took the houselights down. 電工將劇場中觀眾席上的燈光減弱了一點。
physician n. [醫(yī)] 醫(yī)師，內科醫(yī)師
E.g. He prefers to be a surgeon rather than a physician. 他喜歡當外科醫(yī)生而不愿作內科醫(yī)生。
2. -ant, -ent：
applicant n. 申請人
E.g. The job applicant must have good verbal skills. 應聘這份工作的人必須具有良好的語言表達技能。
correspondent n. 通信者

3. -ard：
coward n. 懦夫，懦弱的人

volunteer n. 志愿者

6. -er, -or：
manufacturer n. 制造商
E.g. All the goods are labelled with the address of the manufacturer. 所有商品均標明了生產廠家的地址。
survivor n. 幸存者
E.g. Officials said there were no survivors of the plane crash. 官方說這次飛機失事無一人生還。
