  英語四級(jí)作文真題 篇1

Directions: From this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay about a camp activity that has benefited you most. You should state the reasons and write at least 120 words but more than 180 words.

As a college student, it is full of meaning to participate in various camps which are beneficial for us. Among the camps I involved before, the English Summer camp held by our university with a small group of Chinese college students as well as some friends from English Spoken countries made me the most impressive.

There are two factors for my belief. For one thing, I expanded my scope of knowledge for the lecture made by a professor of the Harvard University. Though I have been learning English for almost ten years, getting knowledge from foreign teachers can still be something inspiring. I really want to know about current English countries’ culture, such as education, economy, politics and so on. In this way I could know more about the world and it would help me make right decisions when I graduate from university whether going abroad for further study or not. And it would also help me understand more about our own country. The second reason for me is that the activities also changed me a lot, including English corner, English drama play, interesting knowledge competition and the like. Undisputedly, all these activities can not only help us learn more skills but improve our English.

In conclusion, it was my great pleasure to take part in this activity. I do believe that other kinds of outdoor activities would bring us a lot of advantages, so I would make effort to participate in such activities in the remaining years of my college study.

Without question, Lisa is the person who has influenced my college life most. She is my classmate, who always leaves a deep impression on you by demonstrating her passion for life and the spirit of never yielding, even in the face of extreme challenges. She is the most courageous person I have ever known.

During my college years, it is Lisa that kept teaching me how to live through setbacks in the life journey. I’ll never forget that when I failed in my English examination and I felt overwhelmed, Lisa taught me that failure teaches success, everyone had to persevere and face up to innumerable setbacks, as long as I face my problems bravely, I would create my own wonderful life . With her help , I finally gained the confidence and passed the exam.

Thanks to Lisa, I have learned the importance of courage, which is the indispensable characteristic in my life. She also let me know the importance of confidence. It means a lot to me and still in my head till this day.

When it comes to a course that leaves the deepest impression in university, different people stand on different grounds. As for me, the most impressive course in college is “Appreciation of English Movies”, which I like best. I prefer this curriculum to others owing to the following factors.

On one hand, the professor in charge of this course has impressed me most because she is not only knowledgeable but also patient. More importantly, it is this respectable teacher who spurs my interest to English harder and broadens my horizon as well. Until now, what she said in the class often occurs to my mind. On the other hand, there are many discussions in the classroom when we have lessons. We are allowed to talk freely about a movie, the topic ranging from the theme of a film to its casting. So, during the talk, we become increasingly open-minded. And undoubtedly a brain open to everything carries great importance to study, work and life.

Generally speaking, the course on appreciating English films has impressed me most for it is not only instructive but also entertaining. And therefore, I suggest that more similar courses should be offered in the university.

when you come into our room, the first thing you will notice is the window right opposite you, with a lovely view of the campus. in front of the window there are four writing tables. mine is the one nearest to the door. on top of it, you can see a photo of my family and several piles of books. behind the table there is a radiator and under each table there is a stool. on each side of the room there are two bunk beds covered with clean bed spreads. some brightly colored quilts are neatly folded at the foot of the beds. on the wall above the beds are pictures of famous movie stars or singers. to the left of the window hangs a calendar and beside it is a mirror.

on the left are built-in bookshelves with a shelf for each person. our dormitory is not very big, but it is neat, clean and comfortable.

  英語四級(jí)作文真題 篇5

There are many advantages to having a pet. For example, taking care of a pet can teach people responsibility, which is new to many university students. In addition, pets can keep people company and are well-known for making people happy.

While there are many reasons for having a pet, keeping one illegally in the dorms can be problematic. First of all, some students may be allergic to pets. Secondly, some dorm mates may not care for the way the pet smells. Thirdly, many pets are loud and may disturb the other residents in your dorm or hall.

For many universities, students keeping pets in the dormitories is against the rules. Despite this, some students choose to have a pet at university. However, I don't believe that it's a good idea to keep a pet in the dormitories.

  英語四級(jí)作文真題 篇6

when students move into the accommodations offered by college, they are taught to live in harmony. harmony in their rooms is crucial to their lives in college days. it can further affect their emotions and even studies.

despite that, many acts conducted by students reflect the disharmony in university residences. for example, most of the boys' rooms are in a mess. the importance of good cleaning habits should be stressed. and sour relations between students living together fundamentally endanger the harmony in college dormitories. some trivial matters can trigger conflicts. we should view everyone as our friend and respect each other.

from my perspective, we should drive our efforts to boost the harmony in college residences. this goal is far-reaching. boarders should take a package of measures to fulfill it. a harmonious dormitory environment can play a positive role in college students’ studies and lives.

  英語四級(jí)作文真題 篇7

Dormitory life is an indispensable part of college life. But sometimes the harmony in the dormitory can be disturbed in one way or another.

As is known to all, a harmonious dormitory life is important to college students and benefits all the members. On one hand, we can have a good rest and put our heart into study. On the other hand, we will have a good mood and enjoy being together.

There are several ways to create and maintain a harmonious dormitory life. Firstly, you have to evaluate your life-style and try to get rid of your dirty habits, if there are any. Secondly, when an annoying situation arises, you’ll just have to learn to tolerate each other and co-exist. Thirdly, you’ll have to share with each other and make good friends.

In conclusion, we should try our best to build a harmonious dormitory life for the sake of good study and good life.

  英語四級(jí)作文真題 篇8

Some people believe that keeping pets is a good thing to do.They believe that pets, like cats and dogs, can help reduce the loneliness in their daily life .They also argue that keeping pets helps mankind understand animals' world and develop positive feelings toward them.

Others, however, hold the opposite view. They think keeping pets as a useless but harmful thing to do.First, pets can transmit diseases.Secondly, the noises of pets are sources of pollution.Last but not least,as many rare birds and animals are kept as pets, they will surely be hunted on a large scale, which means a threat to the balance of the ecosystem.

Weighing the arguments of both sides,I am inclined to agree with the latter.Anyway,we can lessen our loneliness and express our love toward animals in other ways. And it is my belief that only by placing man and other species on an equal basis can we expect to have a lively and colorful world.

  英語四級(jí)作文真題 篇12

My dormitory room is on the second floor. It is small and crowded. The dark green walls and the dirty white ceiling make the room seem dark, and thus even smaller than it is, As youwalk into the room, you are stopped short by my bed which fills half of the room. The two large windows over the bed are hidden by heavy dark gold drapes. Against the wall on your left, pushed into a corner behind the head of the bed, is a large bookcase which is crammed with papers, books, and knick-knacks, Wedged in between the bookcase and the wall opposite the bed is a small grey metal desk. It has a brown wooden chair which seems to fill the left end of the room.Stuffed under the desk is a wooden wastepaper basket overflowing with paper and debris. The wall above the bookcase and desk is completely taken up with two small posters. On the right hand of the room is a narrow closet with clothes, shoes, hats, tennis racquets, and boxes bulging out of its sliding doors. Everytime I walk out of the door, I think, "Now I know what it is like to live in a closet."

Computers in students‘ flats are a catch word on campus. An increasing number of students can afford or hire computers. They appreciate a chance to learn about computers from the comfort of their own flats, without the embarrassment or shyness of going into a computer hall and feeling not educated.

The world is changing with a speed like never before, and students feel that computers are playing an important role in that change. They agree that they must have computer skills to survive in today‘s world. They get on board, cease to be computer illiterate on the information highway. No student should enter the future without being computer literate.

While students take giant steps to catch up on the information superhighway, they should be alerted to problems of buying or renting computers. Playing games or surfing aimlessly on the Internet will do much harm. Otherwise, any attempt to learn computer will end up as nothing but an empty dream.

  英語四級(jí)作文真題 篇15

With rapid development of computer technology, making friends online has become a hotspot among people, and people’s views about it vary from individual to individual. As for me, I would like to make friends in the real life rather than make friends online. Firstly, it is a waste of time to spend too much time in chatting online, and we have no enough time in studying. What’s worse, it does great harm to our health. Secondly the Internet is virtual, and there are all kinds of people in the virtual world. We are likely to be cheated. As a consequence, it will do damage to our property and emotion. Last but not the least, the over-reliance on it will bring about psychological problems. For one thing, we will ignore our real parents and friends. Actually, we are becoming lonely. For another, we may avoid facing the fact. In a word, I don’t think that it is wise to make friends online. As an old saying goes great minds think alike, friends are the people who share happy and sorrow with you, not only chat.

He is always intelligent, active, and alert. He is a man with abundant knowledge. He knows everything and studies nearly all the languages spoken by mankind. Moreover, his memory is remarkable. He remembers whatever has happened in the world. He is also a great teacher. He has taught thousands of young men. Therefore he has been and is known to everybody. He is my best teacher as well as my best friend. At first he taught me Chinese. When I was fifteen years of age, he began to teach me English and some sciences. This year he teaches me a new language called French. He is a patient man. Stupid as I am, he is never tired of teaching me. He continues to teach me until I am perfectly familiar with my lessons. His name is book, and he is most people’s friend. We become excellent and release our dream because of him.

  英語四級(jí)作文真題 篇17

Dormitory life is a new experience for some university students who have never lived far away from their parents before. For example, they must depend on themselves to get up in the morning on time for class and to set aside an appropriate amount of time for study and relaxation.

Some people believe there are more advantages about dormitory life. In a dormitory, on the one hand, students have more chances to communicate with and learn from each other. On the other hand, students have a great deal more freedom than they might have at home. They can act according to their own will rather than to that of parents'. But some others disagree. They think dormitory rooms are often small and crowded. This lack of space can limit one's privacy and make it difficult for students to be engaged in their studies.

In general, there are both sunshine and shadow about life in student dormitory. Whether they like it or not, most students have to face the reality of living with others. (173 words)
