NO.1 The best way for parents to teach their children about responsibility is to have them care for animals.

主觀點(diǎn)選擇不同意,即認(rèn)為it is an overstatement to claim that the best way for parents to teach their children about responsibility is to have them care for animals.

  Pet owner/keep a pet/ own a pet

As we all know, due to the weak immunity system, kids rank among the group of people who are most susceptible to various diseases such as allegery and coughing. But it is obvious that pets like dogs and kittens are covered in bacteria and germs which will enter the home and become ubiquitous in the every room of your house. As a result, in the process of taking care of pets, the trigger of allergy, children are more likely to become allergic or sick when patting the animal hair and hugging with these animals. Suffering from various diseases means that children will spend lots of precious time on recovery and thus are left behind on their academic study.

Secondly, the better way to cultivate a sense of responsibilty is to ask children to do some housechores.

Undoubtedly, housework is the common duty of the whole family, which means that every family member, whether parents or kids, needs to undertake this task. To be specific, when sweeping the floor, washing the dishes and cleaning the shoes shelf under the guidance of their parents, kids will acquire a sense of belonging and understand that it is their duty to assist their parents to accomplish housechores. Only in this way can kids become responsible person who never evade the difficulties. Furthermore, parents will become another beneficiary of this practice, because assisting parents to take housework can also lessen the burden of parents who are tired because of the tedious workload and help them to unwind and relax.

NO.2 Working at home using computers or telephones is better than working in the office.

First and foremost, working at home by using computers and telephones will benefit employees in many aspects.

For one thing, this way of working enables employees to have more flexible working schedule. With the help of computers and telephones, staffs can choose to complete their tasks at any time before the deadline. For another, the time and money spent in commuting between company and home can be saved. This is especially true of those people who live in the cities with heavy traffic. For example, many people working in Beijing have to get up very early in the morning to take the over-crowded subway or bus to their working places. This problem can be solved by working at home. Besides, working at home provides employees much more comfortable working environment. Compared with the narrow and separated working area, home is a better place with more space and less noise.

What’s more, employers will also benefit from the practice of working at home.

More and more employees choose to work at home, thus reducing the company’s cost in office and equipments. Also, working independently at home will improve the working efficiency, which makes more profits for the company. According to a survey conducted by the department of psychology in Boston University, people will work more efficiently under the condition that there was no interruption from others. Thus the reduction of cost and the improvement of working efficiency are combined to earn more revenue for the employers.

Admittedly, working in office will enhance people’s social skills by communicating with colleagues and boss, while working at home will alienate social relations between colleagues. However, compared with the huge benefits brought by working at home, its disadvantages are rare and can be neglected.

NO.3 It is much easier to for parents to raise children now than fifty years ago.

Parents’ more easy access to information about how to raise a child has made it much easier to bring up kids.

Accompanying the advances in technology are the wide use of the internet and the popularization of computers. Nowadays, when encountering any questions about raising a kid, whether an infant or a toddler, parents can just type in some key words online, click the mouse and then all they search for will appear on the screen immediately. However, half a century ago, parents could only get knowledge and experience of educating kids from the previous generation.

The improvement of parents’ educational background enables them to better understand their kids and thus reduce the difficulty of raising kids.

Educational quality of China has witnessed an eye-catching progress in the past 50 years, which has produced a generation of well-educated parents. As is common sense, the better educational background parents have, the more appropriate method they will employ to raise their kids and the easier children education will be. However, due to lack of common sesne of education, parents had more difficulty communicating efficiently with their children, thus wasting more time and energy in lecturing and even scolding kids.

NO.4 To achieve successful development of a country, a government should focus its budgets more on young children education than on higher education.

To begin with, allocating more budget on college education can cultivate more talents in various fields and thus instill vigor into the development of economy. It is self-evident that the primary purpose of establishing college and university is to equip young adults with excellent theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Those who receive higher education can adapt to working environment more easily and thus make contributions to the progress of society more quickly. Therefore, government have the responsibility to allocate more money on education. Accord to the data from the National Statistics Ministry in China, in 2013 90% of the top 10 enterpreneurs, whose wealth was above 200 billion dollars in many industries such as the Internet, logistics and clothing are bachelor-degree holders or even master-degree holder, which can justify the above statement.

Second, investing money in higher education can boost the advances in techonolgy and thus contribute to the development of the whole society.

Under no circumstance can we deny that institutions of higer education are an important component of research center, which means that many fruits of research comes from nowhere but the efforts of professors and scholars in universities. As a result, the financial support from government can free professors from the economic burden of daily cost, and thus make them more devote themselves wholeheartedly to conducting experiments and making research. Then, the large leap of technology can be expected in the following decades, which will benefit the whole society greatly.

NO.5 Two people can still be good friends when one of them has much more money than the other?

First of all, mutual respect and understanding establishes the foundation of friendship.

展開:In other words, people with different financial background can become friends as long as they respect and appreciate each other. There are numerous examples that can be cited to support my point. A good case in point is the friendship between Marx and Engel. As is known to all, Marx was quite poor back then while Enges has plentiful fortune. The great gap in financial situation never obstructed the formation of their solid friendship. Engises appreciated Max's talent in writing and far-sightedness of his thoughts and generously funded Max to publish his books. Meanwhile, Max had a high regard for Enges. Therefore, the flower of friendship blossoms in the ground of mutual respect.

Secondly, two persons with financial disparity can benefit from such a friendship.

For one thing, making friends with rich people can benefit us in many ways. Just as an old proverb goes, a friend in need is a friend indeed. Just imagine that in the process of running a company, you come across the financial problems. Those wealthy friends will be able to offer you a hand and help you through hard times. Besides, making friends with rich people enable us to enlarge our social circle and may broaden our horizon to some extent. Take my own experience as an example. My best friend, Tony, from a well-off family invited me to enjoy a famous concert, which gave me an extraordinary spiritual experience. After this concert, I became crazy about classic music and then I chose it as my major in college. For another, those in better financial situation can acquire a sense of emphathy and become humble while getting along with those from disadvantaged families.

NO.6 Today people cannot buy products based on information in their advertisements because advertisements are less honest than before.

  Agree:

The more fierce competition between the companies producing the same product has undermine the reliability of ads further.

展開:As is common sense, the defining character of businessmen is the degree to which they tend to pursue as much profits as possible. In fact, with the saturation of market in most industries, the desire to make money cannot be satiated as easily as in the past. As a result, it is not surprising to observe that using more exaggerated ads has become a main measure to attract customers and earn the market share. According to the annual report from Consumer Association in China, in 2013 there were almost 200,000 people complain about the fake information in advertisement, while in 2003 the figure of complaints was only 10,000. It is conspicuous that the number of complaints underwent a dramatic increase, which indicates the fact that advertisements today provide more untrue information than those in the past. The reason underlying this point is that companies want to attract potential customers by eye-catching advertisement in the more fierce competition.

Ads become less credible due to the employment of more diverse misleading techniques.

展開:One advertisement for Safeguard claim their soap can protect human beings from almost any type of bacteria on Earth. In order to boost sales, inflated words like “the best” “brand-new” and “unique” are more frequently used in advertisement to boast on the quality of their goods. Besides, technologies such as Photoshop are used in beautifying the appearance of the products. The advertisements for Head & Shoulder shampoo is a case in point. After using the shampoo, the actress shows off her unnaturally silky and dandruff free hair, the effect of which is made by computer technicians. Meanwhile, more and more celebrities are hired by companies to advertise their products, in order to convince more consumer to buy their commodities. For example, many famous basketball players such as Kobe Bryant advertise for carbonated beverage produced by Coca-cola Company. The most ironic part is that these athletes are prohibited to drinking sodas, which was rare in the past advertisement.
