SSAT考試是什么考試及考試題型
SSAT考試是美國(guó)、加拿大等國(guó)私立中學(xué)的非常重要的入學(xué)考試，是美國(guó)一些獨(dú)立的非盈利機(jī)構(gòu)主辦的一種全國(guó)性私立中學(xué)入學(xué)考試，由美國(guó)、加拿大等國(guó)私立學(xué)校自行選用。SSAT為Secondary School Admission Test的首字母縮寫(xiě)，即為美國(guó)中學(xué)入學(xué)考試。它雖然主要是為了中學(xué)入學(xué)，但是，目前也在私立學(xué)校5、6年級(jí)的入學(xué)審核中廣泛使用。
SSAT主要是測(cè)量學(xué)生的數(shù)學(xué)、英文程度及理解力。測(cè)驗(yàn)分為數(shù)學(xué)(Quantitative)、語(yǔ)文(Verbal)、閱讀(Reading)、作文(Writing sample)四部分;并分為低年級(jí)(目前就讀5-7年級(jí)的考生)、和高年級(jí)(目前就讀8-11年級(jí)的考生)兩種檢測(cè)。
SSAT考試創(chuàng)辦于1957年，由位于美國(guó)新澤西州普林斯頓市的中學(xué)入學(xué)考試委員會(huì)SSATB(Secondary School Admission Test Board)命題。SSAT在全球有600多個(gè)考場(chǎng)。SSAT和ISEE考試內(nèi)容相似，難度相同，只是考試形式有一些區(qū)別。SSAT和ISEE考試均由英文、數(shù)學(xué)和作文組成。SSAT在美加以外地區(qū)的考試，每年于11、12、1、3、4月舉行，中國(guó)地區(qū)的考試地點(diǎn)為上海，考前四周報(bào)名截止。在美國(guó)每年舉辦7次考試，在北美以外的國(guó)家和地區(qū)每年興辦5次考試。主要是測(cè)量學(xué)生的數(shù)學(xué)、英文程度及理解力，SSAT考試作文不計(jì)分，但會(huì)被送到報(bào)考學(xué)校的招生部門(mén)作為錄取的參考。SSAT考試分為低年級(jí)(在讀5-7年級(jí)的考生)和高年級(jí)(在讀8-11年級(jí)的考生)兩種考試。
