Chip Design EngineerApply

Location: Beijing,Shanghai, Wuxi

IBM Chip Design Engineers are working on cutting-edge SoC (System on a Chip), ASIC, High Performance Processor, Chipset, Digital/Analog and Mix-signal Circuit IP design for our clients inside and outside of IBM. By employing the industry leading tools, state of the art methodology, and innovative semiconductor technologies ranging from 90nm to 22nm and beyond, you will be participating in the development of end to end solutions including:

Architecture design Performance analysis and tuning

Front-end logic design and verification Back-end implementation and optimization

Circuit IP design, package and electrical design

Electronic Design Automation (EDA) & methodology development and deployment Chip hardware validation

Skill Requirements:

1. CS/EE or background in areas related to digital or analog chip design

2. Research and development experience in one or more of the following areas: Architectural design, analysis, and optimization

Proficiency in Verilog/VHDL, and familiarity with programming and scripting languages

Digital logic implementation and verification on the basis of the target system specification

SoC design methodology: Knowledge of SoC integration, modeling and verification at a different abstract level

ASIC back-end design methodology: Knowledge of synthesis, timing, DFT, floor planning, physical design, signal/power integrity, packaging, and other back-end activities

EDA algorithm, tool, and methodology development

Experience/knowledge in analog and mixed-signal IP design, test and evaluation with Bulk CMOS, BiCMOS, SiGe, or SOI technologies

Good software background and strong C/C++ skill is a significant plus

Job Scope: Analytics and optimization research in innovational industry applications-Researcher

Work Location: Beijing, Shanghai

Job Description:

The job offers an opportunity to make R&D in IOT solutions and apply advanced analytics/optimization/simulation technology in key industrial applications (e.g. Energy, Logistics, Transport, Electronics, Banking, Retail etc.), aiming to develop, deliver and transfer the advanced algorithms and solutions into satisfactory services / solutions, while producing high quality papers and patents. The industry domains include

- Logistic, supply chain management: develop optimization models for improving resource utilization, energy efficiency and customer satisfaction

- Chemical and petroleum industry: apply analytics / optimization and provide advanced IoT solutions.

- Grid: research in grid system optimization, power distribution automation and IoT based micro-grid optimization.

- Intelligent transportation system: realize multi-mode transportation system optimization, traffic simulation, operational optimization etc.

- Urban service system: research in water supply / drainage, gas, emergency management, etc.
